cocoon recordings presents a freaked out deep techno highlight by two masters of their craft: gregor tresher & petar dundov! especially the a-side spike is a crazy monster and we do not exaggerate by writing that we have never heard something like this by these two masterminds before. mental, hypnotic and with a neverending synth firework that modulates with an endless release effect. the two really pushed electronic dance music at least ten steps further. tresher & dundov second mutual work on cocoon recordings follows with differentiator. the two stick to the basic concept of spike however this time it is the good old arpeggio that keeps on modulating until eternity. differentiator almost flows with a little trance appeal and there is even a cool and driving acid bassline giving us the final push. tresher & dundov present us two massive techno tunes that will definitely play in their own league this season!

product comes with deluxe hot foil stamping print in a gatefold cover! electrica salsa, revisited 30 years later, remixes by roman flügel and henrik schwarz. france, italy, austria, germany, quite precisely thirty years ago, one electronic track turned the european music charts upside down: electrica salsa by the frankfurt project off - a collective producing their tracks at master music studio. the founders of organisation for fun were no underdogs: michael münzing and luca anzilotti would go on as duo snap! and write global hits like the power or rhythm is a dancer, writing pop history. and the third member of off was then 21-year-old sven väth, today one the most notorious international djs. michael and luca were the masters of equipment, responsible for the mixing desk and the recording tape we used to make the master tapes. i was the one providing song ideas, grooves and bringing a good mood to the studio.

irishman brendan gregory aka chymera has become an integral part of the international club scene. this techno and house productions are based on his skilful way to incorporate different styles and genres such as minimal techno and even the trance, which leads to a very own and surpreme handwriting. like his mentor and friend funk dvoid or like his fellow cocoon recordings colleague tim green, chymera appears to one of the few artists who can be assigned to a very own and recognizable sound.

after the first ricardo tobar remix edition (featuring remixes by john tejada and fairmont) on cocoon recordings we are proud to present the next chapter with remixes by lawrence and midnight operator (mathew and nathan jonson). 2016 seems to continue as we started it: with high quality music by great artists presenting us amazing techno in an unique and tasty style. midnight operator, the joint project of the two jonson brothers, picked tobars angora for their remix and the result appears very fresh and housey. their bassline programming adds a nice italo-disco vibe to their version of angora.

cor12138 presents three previously unreleased tracks taken from the * dots & pearls 3* mix-cd (cormix052 mixed by daniel stefanik). the exclusive three tracker starts with the concept by waveshape - an extremely powerful club tune that demands a very good sound system to deliver its full potential.

daniel stefanik is back on the track and it seems even stronger than ever before! after his cocoon album release confidence and the associated remixes (by mr. g, adam port, legowelt and matthias kaden) stefanik presents a true tech-house-monster as a dignified return to the label. with twilight zone stefanik moves away from his detroit influenced background but stays true to his oldskool flavoured vibe.

the summer heat is still on our minds and we all do miss the sunny days, the beaches and the endless open air parties… thanks sascha dive for the right soundtrack and this summer flashback: dives new release for cocoon beams us back to the high days of the summer of 2015: especially into the woods seems to be the perfect sound for all these deeply missed summervibes. into the woods is a pristine tech-house production that comes with a cool straight forward beat programming, very nice reverse strings-sounds and hypnotic house chords. a nicely flavoured chicago club housefeeling and exactly how we like it! werewolf appears slightly more spaced out, however we are still deep in the house universe here. dive is pushing it a bit harder now - he uses crazy chord sounds and turns the track into an 11 minutetech house journey. after the summer flashback with into the woods this one beams us definitely more into the darker and hotter inner city clubs. a massive tech-house-striker by the diver and we are proud to say it is one of his strongest works so far!

johannes heil and markus suckut team up for the new cocoon release and what they came up with is simply amazing! a techno monster! the two high profile producers seem to merge various techno influences out of the last 15 years here but they manage it to do this with their very own hand writing. the opening track intuition appears like robert hood and speedy j helped out triggering the right sounds in the studio.

verona based producer and dj luca ballerini is our latest discovery and a perfect proof that cocoon recordings is still looking for new kids on the block and gives them the chance to step into the arena. although we have to admit that luca ballerini is not a complete rookie anymore. after his debut on siena recordings in 2010, ballerini founded his own plattforms and released several productions on musical metaphor and wax jam.
